Introduction of Feng Shui in Vilnius, Lithuania
29th March 2006
While on a recent visit to Vilnius, capital city of the Republic of Lithuania, to perform a Feng Shui consultation, Master Yap also had the privilege of conducting a talk-cum-seminar on Feng Shui there. As that was Master Yaps’ first time in Lithuania, the academy’s local students thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce Feng Shui to the general public of Lithuania.
It was a success, if the number of attendees was anything to go by. More than 200 people converged at the Vilnius Sports Hall to get a glimpse of Feng Shui from Master Yap. The attendees came from all walks of life – interior designers, business people, homemakers, members of the press, etc. The response was better than expected as Feng Shui is relatively unknown in Lithuania.
Of course Master Yap took a break and explored Vilnius, one of the oldest cities in Europe. He visited the old town area of Vilnius, which boasts many interesting and charming buildings. He also made a trip to Trakai, a most unique town built on water. The original island castle was destroyed in the 17th century during the war with Russia. It was rebuilt in the second half of the 20th century and is home to a history museum since 1962.
