Second International FengShui Convention, IFSC
5th – 6th November 2005
Feng Shui enthusiasts and practitioners gathered at the Second International FengShui Convention (IFSC) at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre recently.
Themed “Simply FengShui: Ideas and Applications for Business and Life”, the two-day event held from 5th to 6th November 2005 was aimed at sharing and promoting Feng Shui and showing how it could help those who embrace and practise it to attain the benefits of harmony, prosperity and balance in life. Its main objectives included:
- Promoting the knowledge and understanding of Feng Shui
- Raising the standards in the practice of Feng Shui
- Providing opportunities for the Feng Shui community to congregate, network and develop a fraternity with a common shared goal
- Applying practical Feng Shui applications in modern living
- Highlighting trends and the latest case studies
Organised by TTG Asia Media Ptd Ltd, the conference featured workshops, panel discussions and Feng Shui tours. During the event, participants from all over the world discovered simple Feng Shui ideas and applications as well as learnt how they could take the first step towards achieving harmony in their business and personal lives.
The event featured some prominent speakers, including Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai, who spoke about “The Five Elements and the Yin and Yang Concepts”. He touched on how the understanding of the Ba Gua and the Five Elements are crucial to the understanding, study and practice of Feng Shui since almost all theories of Feng Shui are derived directly from the early and later Heaven Ba Gua and the Five Elements.
Judging from the response from the participants and speakers, the IFSC 2005 was a success. Hopefully, next year, the event will be equally insightful, if not more.
