Q&A - The Sun Property Plus 8th September 2006
Q. |
I AM an Australian man born in 1969, married for five years to a Chinese Malaysian born in 1968. We live in KL and have three young sons aged 4, 2 and 1. I am a design consultant with my own business, but for the last five years I have had terrible luck and have not managed to secure any reasonable projects in that time. In the last five years I must have submitted for at least 30 to 40 projects, and thought I had a good chance of securing maybe 10 of them, only to see every one of them snatched away from me at the last minute by some amazing and almost unbelievable twist of fate. Initially, I thought this bad luck may have been a consequence of a break up with some former business partners, however it has gone on too long for me to believe this anymore.
Consequently I have downsized my company considerably, to the point where I am now working by myself from my house, and struggling to feed my family. Both my wife and I believe deeply in the power of the spiritual world and have seen evidence of it from my wife’s relatives. We are now at our wits end and are prepared to do anything to turn our luck around. Could you advise a course of action that could help us?

I am sorry to hear that things have not been going your way. Either your feng shui is poor or your heaven luck is bad and you are destined for major hiccups in your life. But do not despair as we can fix your feng shui. You have not mentioned anything about your house, which makes for a lot of guess work on my part. Bear in mind that feng shui is all about dealing with location, environment, direction and timing. I can only look at what you can do within the house.
Your Ming Gua is Xun Gua (gua number 4) and your wife is Kan Gua (gua number 1). Therefore your good directions are North, South, East or Southeast. Ideally, your house main door should face any of these directions. Your bed should be in the South room with the head board facing any of these directions. Make sure that when you sit at your desk, you are facing North. I believe that you will experience some improvement even with these changes. A point to note, however: If your house is facing South or West, you should seek proper advice before doing the above or you will be activating certain timerelated bad elements, namely, the 3 killings and the Wu Huang.

Q. |
I am moving into a new apartment located on the 5th floor. When I look out from the living room window, I can see a lot of funnels (without smoke) on top of two 3-storey buildings. I wonder if these funnels may jeopardise my career or health. How can I overcome this? My window faces South and my Life Gua is 2.

A. |
There is insufficient information to form an proper opinion on your situation. Firstly we would have to determine the size and distance of these funnels from your apartment to see if this is significant. If so, we would have to take an actual measurement of those funnels in relation to your apartment to determine what effect, if any, they have on you. The other thing to consider is the fact you are on the 5th floor and those funnels are on the 4th. Hence, you may even disregard them due to you being on a higher floor.

Q. |
Is it possible for someone with only an understanding of the significance of personal directions to use the Ba Gua?
A. |
If by using the Ba Gua you mean the eight basic directions of the compass and by personal direction you mean the school of feng shui called Ba Zhai (8 Mansions), the answer is Yes. Ba Zhai is a school of feng shui that on the simplest level of application is the matching of the eight directions to the personal Life Gua.
