Q&A - The Sun Property Plus 17th June 2005
Q. |
|
We have heard a lot about converting one’s house to period 8. Do we need to convert our period 7 house to period 8? What is the effect of not converting our house? If we need to do so, what are the things that we have to do? After the renovation, how do we know that we have successfully converted our house to period 8? We heard we had to leave the roof “open” for seven days and seven nights. But we read in a magazine recently that it is three days and three nights before replacing the roof tiles and there was no mention of leaving the roof open before replacing the tiles. Please advise.

Conversion of a house from period 7 to period 8 is not something to be taken lightly. If you are prepared to change the period of your house, I would recommend that you have the appropriate feng shui advice to ensure that you maximise the feng shui potential. Otherwise, it would be better if you maintain your house as it is. For the changing of the period, it would depend on what are the other required changes. It might not even be necessary to remove your roof. In the old days, one would leave the roof open and expose the house to the environment for a minimum of seven days and nights to effect the change. This is on top of changing one cubic metre of earth from the centre of your house.

I am interested in a condominium unit, which has its balcony facing East (E) and the main door facing West (W). Its toilets are located in the North (N) and South (S) sectors with its kitchen in the Southwest (SW) sector. The entrance to the lift lobby of the apartment block faces E, with a swimming pool fronting it, while the main entrance to the whole area or compound that is at the guardhouse faces N. I am a female born in 1962 in the year of the tiger. My Gua number is 4.

Based on the description of the condominium unit, I would advise you not to purchase it. One of the reasons being you are a Gua 4 and your auspicious directions are N, S, E and Southeast. The front door facing W is bad for you while the toilets in the N and S are suppressing your auspicious directions. The entrance to the lift lobby and the guardhouse are not as significant as your front door.

My Gua number is 3, with the worst direction being W. My wife’s Gua number is 2, with W as the best direction. Our property is under my wife’s name. It is facing W, but is slightly slanted to S. The main door of our house is on the left when facing out from inside. Just outside the door to the left I have two small tubs of water with guppies inside. Besides that, I also have a separate simple fountain feature. My problem is, this year, I have not been well and my wife, who has been unwell for the past few years, experiences only slight improvement in her health. Our luck has also been not good. As wage earners, we are always short of money and have no savings. Our bed is on the south wall of the room, which is in the SW of the house. Is there any way of improving our health and money luck?

This year, the W direction is not so good. The water outside your door does not help either. It is activating the Tai Sui which is in W. My suggestion for you is to drain the water from your fountain and stop it from fl owing this year because it is aggravating the bad direction of W for you. The two tubs of water with the guppies should be okay. But without actually looking at your house, I can only say to err on the side of caution, remove the water and do not have any of it this year. To improve your health, you should sleep with your bedhead pointing towards S and your wife should sleep at an angle towards SW. I believe you would see a slight improvement in your health. Meanwhile, to improve your wealth, you should have two doors — one facing N or S (for your benefit) and the other facing W (for your wife’s benefit). This is the best suggestion that I can offer without coming out on site.
