Academy for Feng Shui - The Star
25th May 2004
GRAND Master Yap Cheng Hai is a well known name among practitioners of feng shui, not only in Malaysia but also around the world.
Yap, one of the world's foremost geomancers, now has his own academy to teach the art of feng shui.
At the launch of his academy recently, Yap was a picture of confidence and peace.
His close friends and feng shui adherents, developer Tan Sri Teo Soo Cheng (executive chairman of First Nationwide group) and Wushu Federation of Malaysia president Datuk Kee Yong Wee were present at the opening of the Yap Cheng Hai Academy. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. The application of feng shui must be undertaken with care.
"If done properly, feng shui is beneficial to one's happiness and prosperity," he said.
The academy, located in Wisma Hang Sam in Jalan Hang Lekir, trains people in the art of feng shui as well as Yap Shou Gong, a form of exercise that was developed by the late grandmaster Chee Kim Tohg with his disciple, Yap Cheng Hai.
It is a combination of movements derived from other martial arts that exercises not only the muscles, but also internal organs through a combination of breathing and movement.
The Yap Cheng Hai Academy can be reached at 03-2070 8009.
