Founded by Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai in his name, the academy is a centre of excellence for traditional Chinese cultural arts, in particular classical Feng Shui, Qi Gong and Wu Shu. It is also a repository for books, journals and writings other related Chinese cultural arts, including martial arts, medicine, metaphysics, palmistry and philosophy.
The establishment of the Yap Cheng Hai Academy effectively addresses two key issues: direct access to authentic classical Feng Shui courses and the availability of an internationally used medium of instruction – English. This is timely as there has been a growing interest in this ancient art across the globe in the past decade.
In general, the academy offers courses on the theories and practice of classical Feng Shui. More importantly, it also conducts professional certification examinations for those keen on becoming certified classical Feng Shui practitioners.
Yan Shou Gong, a unique form of Qi Gong formulated by Grand Master Yap himself, is also taught at the Yap Cheng Hai Academy.
In the past two years, the academy has also actively conducted Feng Shui courses of various levels – Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and Practical Graduate – both locally and internationally. Successful courses included:
